PAPEP-40

PAPEP-40 Tablet is a prescription medicine used to reduce excess stomach acid. It helps relieve symptoms of acidity, acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, and stomach ulcers by decreasing acid production.

Composition

• Pantoprazole 40 mg – Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI)

Uses

• Acidity and heartburn
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Gastric and duodenal ulcers
• Acid-related indigestion
• Prevention of ulcers caused by long-term painkiller (NSAID) use

Common Side Effects

• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Flatulence (gas)
• Dizziness

Precautions

• Take 30–60 minutes before a meal, preferably before breakfast.
• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew it.
• Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease or osteoporosis.
• Long-term use should only be under medical supervision, as it may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency and low magnesium levels.
